Meeting Overview

Enter the new era of higher inflation and higher interest rates with a complete shake up that is repricing the risk of commercial real estate assets.

2023 has provided a tough backdrop to underwrite commercial real estate deals with gusto. As the office market goes through a renaissance, now is the time to turn the pace of investment from a ‘walk’ to a ‘jog’ or else get left behind with distress and unwanted assets in the long term that cannot get refinanced.

With further volatility expected this year, the GRI Global summit has been designed to connect CIOs, CEOs, Heads of Debt, Asset Management and Transactions and discuss privately which asset classes to buy, sell, offload, and understand the conversations already taking place with lenders and borrowers to come out the other side.

Special Sessions

Global Real Estate Volatility
Dealmaking low, when will prices and fundamentals come back to work in our favour?

14:00 - 15:15

Persistent inflation, lack of capital, refinancing and market volatility are causing uncertainty in global real estate transactions. As pricing, deal structures, demand and the risk curve shifts, what can we expect from the global real estate debt and equity market? With headline global banks seemingly in crisis, is the cyclical nature of inflation hedging and finding value changing before investors’ very eyes?
Offices
‘Shift Happens’, where will pricing and values land?

16:00 - 17:00

Inflation and interest rates remain high, tenants’ habits are shifting and there’s a pause in the office market while we wait for repricing and valuations to reflect this reality. So how can investors price the risk going through this shift? What is the right way to go: buy, sell or refinance? And how to keep your property attractive and ensure value?
