Economic Series - What to expect of Spain's macroeconomic scenario in 2024?
Ángel Gavilán is the Director General of Economics and Statistics at the Bank of Spain and an Alternate to the Governor on the European Central Bank's Governing Council. He is also a member of the Eurosystem’s Monetary Policy Committee and the Economic Committee and Finance of the European Union. Holding a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago, his career began at the Bank of Spain in 2005. He worked at BBVA from 2012 to 2016, then at the European Mechanism of Stability (MEDE) until 2018.
