Top real estate leaders gather in Italy for discussions on the sector

Both local and international senior players will attend GRI Club’s most relevant conference in Italy

May 16, 2022Real Estate
Italia GRI Real Estate 2022 annual conference will take place on the 25th and 26th of May, at Palazzo Parigi Hotel, in Milan. The meeting will bring to the table different views on the current state of the real estate industry and conduct discussions pointing to possible new market directions with plenty of fresh insights coming from top executives.

After enduring a two and a half year health crisis, a consequent economic one and making a successful comeback, this year’s event marks ITALIA GRI’s 9th edition and is expected to welcome at least 100 participants and help increase deal flow in the whole region.

The event will reunite domestic as well as international players among Private Equity Investors, Fund Managers, Debt Funds, NPL Buyers, LP’s Developers, Asset Owners, Operators and Lenders invested across all Italian regions and asset classes.

Sessions will be held behind closed doors and in English and will happen in a series of informal roundtable discussions where all participants are not only allowed to speak, but encouraged to share their experiences and perspectives on issues that involve the entire real estate community.

What to Expect from the Italia GRI 2022?

Relevant discussions on major industry issues

One of the most sought after talks this year is the opening session which will cover the opportunities and challenges of the Winter Olympic Games of 2026 that will take place in Milan.

Questions on how to use all the investment that the games will bring to the region in a sustainable way, using international experience as benchmark and applying best practices, and how city infrastructure improvements, such as roads and metro lines, can be aligned with the city’s interests and needs, building a legacy, among others will be addressed.

A session on hotels and hospitality, one of the sectors that suffered most with the pandemic, will be on the agenda on the first day as well, discussing the process of recovering, industry resilience, new consumer profiles and product demands, such as the digital nomads, budget properties, among others.
The office sector, along with the alternative housing demand and retail assets for rent will also be covered on the first day. The second and last day of the conference will bring discussions focusing on international investment.

Italy is an important investment destination in Europe but questions on where to put money, how to diversify risk strategies and how to attract more capital remain a concern to all players. The discussions at ITALIA GRI aim to help minimise uncertainty and foster deal flow as executives expose the challenges they go through in day-to-day business and open up about their experiences.
