Key players will gather in Madrid to discuss the state of the Spanish Market

GRI Club's main event in Spain will have CEOs, presidents and senior executives as attendees

On May 10th and 11th, GRI will host the España GRI Real Estate 2022, the club's leading event in the country. Over 150 participants are expected, including leading CEOs, presidents and senior executives from the region, who will share their views on the directions of the Spanish real estate sector. The meeting will be held behind closed doors and will contribute to boost the flow of operations in Spain.

This year’s 8th edition will take place at Hotel Wellington in Madrid, and will welcome top private equity investors, fund managers, LP’s developers, asset owners, operators and lenders invested throughout Spain and in all asset classes. Sessions will be held in english and will happen in a series of informal roundtable discussions where all attendees are encouraged to participate.

What to Expect from the España GRI 2022?

The most senior real estate professionals in the region

The opening session of the event will be on the Future of Real Estate and will address Urban Intelligence & Smart Cities and the changes the industry has undergone since Covid-19.

Jose Antonio Ondiviela Garcia, technology expert and Director Cities & Regions Industry, Western Europe & WW Observatory for Attractive Cities at Microsoft will be the keynote speaker and will conduct discussions on Social, Economic and Environmental Shifts; Need for More Human Friendly Cities; Data as the 4th Industrial Revolution; and Metacity.

During the finance and investment stream, Carlos Portocarrero de las Heras, Partner and head of Real Estate Spain at Clifford Chance, will moderate a session on investment cycle covering interest rates, inflation, best deals and most sought after assets.




In-depth discussions on a wide range of topics

To conduct the sessions, conferences will be moderated by some of the most experienced executives in each real estate segment, to enrich the discussions by stimulating the sharing of ideas and offering diverse points of view on the latest trends of the industry.

Topics such as BTR, student housing, hotels and traditional resi will be thoroughly discussed on the Living & Hospitality Asset Class Stream. The Commercial Asset Class stream will cover offices, data centres, logistics and more. 

David García Núñez, President and DIRCOM at Madrid World Capital Construction (MWCC), has been confirmed as a special guest to talk about inflation, its impact on real estate, the rise in construction costs and how to reduce the harm in the current scenario.

Núñez will also moderate the ESG, Tech & Innovation stream, which is being highly anticipated as it will address ESG certifications, Carbon Neutrality in real estate and the challenges of measuring initiatives’ impact.
