India GRI is back for its 14th edition and the first face-to-face conference since 2019. The event will be held in Mumbai and will bring together all the key players in the sector active in the country, such as investors, funds, owners, developers, lenders, banks, occupiers and advisors.

Discussions will take place in an informal setting, behind closed doors and in a round table format, where everyone is encouraged to contribute by sharing ideas and experiences. Moreover, executives will have various opportunities to connect with potential business partners through private networking sessions as well as during the coffee and lunch breaks.

The meetings will address the state of the real estate market in the region and the changes that have occurred overnight in recent years due to the pandemic. Experts will focus on new opportunities in the sector, while trying to predict and be prepared for what is to come.

India GRI 2022

The previous edition of India GRI held sessions on funding, technology, the Indian budget, the introduction of REIT, the commercial real estate sector, etc. However, since then, the world has gone through Covid-19 which caused inmensurable consequences to everyone’s lives and work and changed the sector for good.

The advent of remote work, massive lockdowns, the rise of e-commerce, political, economical and social turbulence, all have significantly changed the way people live, work and consume. Trends and insights into the future of real estate will be at the core of India GRI’s objectives.

Session topics will touch on ESG and how to move from talk to action; the growing interest in data centres, investor appetite and demand, new financing opportunities for construction, owner-operator dynamics, the metaverse and how growth can be expected, India as an investment destination, among many others.

GRI India 2019. CEOs, Directors and senior executives meet in an intimate and informal environment.

Will commercial real estate continue to be an advantageous opportunity for investors in India? Is the hospitality sector recovering since most travel bans were lifted? What is the expectation regarding the logistics market? Will it continue to grow at the same pace? Are prices stabilising? What about the residential sector? These are some of the questions attendees will attempt to answer during India GRI 2022.

About the last edition, Anshul Singhal, Managing Director at Welspun One and member of GRI Club India, has said: “It’s a very good format of discussion, there are no mic, no stages or big speeches to listen to, it’s a very candid, informal discussion about real issues the industry faces, from pain points, to challenges, to futuristic views, it covers all topics, from debt to land issues, to news structures consolidation”.

“It’s a pretty unique platform. One of the best things about this is that it attracts the kind of participants you typically don’t get to meet at other conferences, or at any other forums” added Ambar Maheshwari, CEO of Indiabulls Real Estate Fund and GRI Club member.

India GRI 2022 will be held in Sofitel Mumbai BKC on November 2nd and 3rd.
