Lowest pessimism recorded in Chairmen’s Predictions history shows as attendees look towards residential and retail

GRI Chairmen’s Predictions is an annual onsite survey conducted with the participants of the GRI Chairmen’s Retreat, attended by only the most senior investors, developers, property owners and lenders active across European real estate.
Participants came in with exceptionally high optimism as they talked about their high expectations for retail and residential. With almost two thirds feeling optimistic about real estate in 2020, it marked the lowest pessimism between the attending chairmen since records began.
Europe was voted top region in the next 12 months for opportunities(51%), while the Americas and Asia followed behind (32% and 10% respectively).
