First edition of Peru GRI to take place in August
One of the highlights of the agenda is the participation of Arellano Ostoa (Evercore Partners) as keynote speaker.
About 100 senior executives and investors working on the Peruvian real estate market are expected to gather for the first edition of Peru GRI, which is scheduled for August 20 and 21, in Lima. In addition to strengthening ties among participants, the event’s agenda aims to discuss the most relevant topics of the industry in the country.
“Aligned with the expansion and needs of the Latin American real estate industry, GRI Club Real Estate has been working on boosting its activities in Latin America, with emphasis on Peru. In this scenario, Peru GRI enters the club’s local agenda with the mission of consolidating itself as the major gathering point for real estate leaders in the country,” says Leonardo Di Mauro, GRI Club's head of Real Estate for Latin America.
José Antonio Contreras (Open Plaza - Falabella), Miguel Destua (Granadero), Ignacio Mariategui (Fibra Prime), Philipp Braunfels (Jamestown), Thomas Livelli (Greystar Investment Group), Gonzalo Sarmiento Giove (Inversiones Centenario) and Claudia Cooper (Lima Stock Exchange) are a few of the players who have been confirmed.
One of the agenda’s highlights is the participation of Evercore Partners’ Arellano Ostoa as keynote speaker. He will share his pioneering experience in structuring Fideicomisos de Inversión en Bienes Raíces (Fibras, in Spanish – or Reits, Real Estate Investment Trusts, in English) in Mexico, which has become a benchmark in the implementation of this type of funding tool in the region. In addition to highlighting Fibras’ challenges, risks, advantages, and impacts for the real estate industry, Ostoa will discuss its perspectives and potential for development in Peru.
Then several simultaneous rooms are scheduled to be held in the two days covering the topics that matter most to the real estate executives working in the country. Program high points are discussions on the scenario and opportunities for new investments in Peru; strategies for developing projects in the country; consumption trends in the shopping and retail segment; the potential of the residential for income market, and projections on the main real estate segments, such as industry and logistics, offices, and hotels.
