GRI event gathers hotel giants in Latin America

Hyatt, Sabadell Bank, Marriott, and IHG leaders confirmed for the 3rd edition of GRI Hospitality Latin America.

On August 29 and 30, GRI Club Real Estate will host the third edition of GRI Hospitality Latin America at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami. The program includes several simultaneous and exclusive discussions on the Latin American hotel segment – in particular concerning countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru e Chile. In an informal space for interaction among the players, the agenda covers key trends and business strategies pertaining to this industry and opportunities for new projects. 
 
“Hospitality Latin America, which in previous years took place integrated with the Latin America GRI, for the first time gets an independent edition, entirely dedicated to the hotel audience. This change was designed to take into account all the strength and the prospect of evolution of this segment in Latin America to further contribute to strengthening relationships among those who decide the direction of the market and to form new partnerships,” says Leonardo Di Mauro, GRI Club's head of Real Estate for Latin America.
 
Among the confirmed players are Alejandro Krell (Paladin Realty Partners), Joan Bertran (Banc Sabadell), Mariano Menkes (Equity international), Oscar Calvillo (Fibra Inn), Raúl Gallegos (Credit Suisse), Camilo Bolaños (Hyatt Hotels), Eduardo Bosh (NH  Hoteles), Laurent de Kousemaeker (Marriott International), Cristiano Goncalves (IHG International), Pablo Maturana (Hilton) and Mauricio Elizondo (Grupo Posadas).

Comprehensive agenda and keynote speakers

One of the agenda’s highlights is the participation of Equity International CIO Brian Finerty as keynote speaker. The executive will analyze the scenario for investments in the Latin American hotel market, taking into account the main regional challenges and opportunities, as well as strategies for the development of new businesses.
 
Another very important name confirmed as keynote speaker it CBRE chairman of Americas Research and senior economic advisor Spencer Levy">Spencer Levy. Levy will make a political-economic overview of the major Latin American countries, taking into account aspects such as new governments, hotel market incentive policies, and local GDP growth expectations. 

In the simultaneous discussion rooms, topics such as the future of markets like resorts and condo hotels in the region; the expansion of luxury hotels; consumer and market trends, and perspectives on fundraising and modes of funding in the region will be addressed. Another highlight will be debates focused on innovation and new technologies.
