Chile GRI 2019 gathered more than 100 real estate leaders

 More than 100 Chilean real estate executives gathered at the second edition of Chile GRI, held on September 11 and 12 at the W Santiago hotel, at the capital city Santiago. In an informal, highly participatory atmosphere, they discussed market trends and challenges, strategic topics for new business, and partnership opportunities. 
 
One of the event highlights was the participation of Bill Maddux, the executive managing director of the Greystar Investment Group, as keynote speaker. He shared his view on the Chilean real estate market from his perspective as an external investor and based on his extensive experience in the multifamily residential segment.

Another program highlight was a debate on real estate investment strategies and funding. Fernando Sánchez (Independencia), Francisco Ghisolfo (Credicorp), Rodrigo de la Maza (CCLA Group), Philipp Braunfels (Jamestown), Nicolás Monge (LarrainVial), Rodrigo Guzmán (Ameris Capital), Bernardo Dominichetti (Banchile) and Oltman Ahlers (GLL Real Estate) participated to make comparisons between the local and foreign scenario and to address capital alternatives for this industry. The discussion was moderated by Mauricio Varela (Socovesa).

The agenda also included a panel with Tom Livelli (Greystar), Ricardo Hepp (Falabella Inmobiliario), Cristian Jijena (VivoCorp) and Andrés Torrealba (Parque Arauco) to discuss how innovations and transformations affect retail in Chile – in particular, the revolution in consumer behavior. 

Also addressed were specific issues related to the real estate segments, such as residential – attended by the national undersecretary of Housing and Urbanism, Guillermo Rolando –, industrial and logistics, offices, and hotels. At the end of the first day, a dinner organized at Red2One, on the hotel’s rooftop, from where there is an exclusive panoramic view, provided even more networking moments. The dinner was hosted by Buildings.
