Infra Latin America GRI gathered more than 250 leaders in NY

Held from May 16 to 17, at The Roosevelt Hotel, in New York, Infra Latin America GRI 2019 gathered more than 250 private sector leaders and Latin American government authorities for an intense program of informal networking and discussions on the infrastructure market scenario and perspectives in the main countries of the region – particularly, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile.

“There are several political and economic transformations going on in the Latin American scenario. An approximation between private sector and government representatives is essential for developing the infrastructure industry in the region. The event was a unique opportunity to strengthen new alliances and draw a true picture of what lies ahead,” highlights Pedro Nicolau, GRI Club’s global head of Infrastructure.

Keynote speakers

As keynote speakers, the event had the participation of Adalberto Vasconcelos, special secretary for the federal government of Brazil’s Investment Partnership Program (IPP), Bibop Gresta, president and cofounder of Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (a company that is developing a high-speed transportation capsule system), and Emmanuel Jaclot, executive vice president and head of Infrastructure at CDPQ, who spoke about investment opportunities in the region.

The agenda then included several simultaneous discussion rooms and networking activities, all designed to strengthen ties between the executives and public officials.

The next great gathering on GRI Club Infra’s agenda in Latin America is Infra Andean GRI 2019. On June 27 and 28, in Lima, Peru, executives and public representatives of Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia will be together to debate topics that are essential to the infrastructure industry in the region.
