GRI Infra Club holds first edition of Infra Andean GRI

Audience includes public representatives and industry leaders. Peruvian Vice-Minister will be keynote speaker.

Scheduled for June 27 and 28 at the Hyatt Centric San Isidro, in Lima, Peru, Infra Andean GRI 2019 seeks to bring together corporate leaders and government officials from the main countries of the Andean region – Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia. The debates will cover the most important regional infrastructure segments, including airports, ports, sanitation, highways, urban mobility, waterways, railways, and power.

“When integrated, the Andean region has a market potential that, if well developed, can generate large projects and results that are relevant to the infrastructure industry in each of its countries. Infra Andean GRI, in its first edition, seeks to open the way and opportunities in this direction, especially by providing networking,” says Pedro Nicolau,
global head of the GRI Club for the infrastructure sector.

Agenda highlights

Carlos Estremadoyro Mory, vice-minister of Transport of Peru, is confirmed as keynote speaker of the meeting. He will open the program and talk about development, modernization, and priorities for the expansion of the transportation segment in the country. He will share perspectives and strategies for leveraging this market also in neighboring economies.

In the sequence, taking into account each country’s individual scenario and a panorama of integration, participants will have the opportunity to choose to participate in several rounds of discussion. On the agenda are aspects such as strategies to attract institutional investments; regional energy integration; incentives for public-private partnerships; funding opportunities; evolution of projects on fronts such as urban mobility and ports; airport modernization, and increments to road infrastructure.
