Changing trends in India - PPP for new asset classes

Infrastructure investments have nearly doubled from FY13 to FY18, however the concern that arises is that the private investments did not account for a large portion of this number. Most of the private investments that came in were towards power (renewable energy) sectors followed by roads and bridges with a small quantum in ports. The sectors which require the most investments are roads, urban housing, railway, energy and irrigation.
