GRI Club officializes worldwide partnership with Pequeno Cotolengo Paranaense

5 MIN READ September 21, 2020
In the last August, the GRI Club, a GRI Group company that operates in the real estate and infrastructure market, entered into a partnership with Pequeno Cotolengo Paranaense, a philanthropic entity founded in 1965, in Curitiba, Paraná. Since its foundation, the institution has become one of the largest organizations in Brazil, promoting free of charge: reception, education and health for people with disabilities, risky situations, family abandonment and hospital isolation. Currently, there are 220+ people assisted in its facilities.

Área das Instalações

The institution, recognized as an example of a Civil Society Organization (CSO) within the country, received several awards that certify that the work provided is done with seriousness and support from society. Among the awards, there are the stamps: Portal da Transparência and, twice, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) granted by the United Nations (UN). In addition, she was elected for three consecutive years as one of the 100 best CSOs / NGOs to donate in Brazil.
Great Place to Work certificate 2017, 2018 and 2020
O Pequeno Cotolengo, for the third consecutive year, was certified by the Great Place to Work Institute as an excellent place to work.

Impulse Award from the GRPCom Institute
Pequeno Cotolengo received from Instituto GRPCom (Grupo Paranaense de Comunicação) through the Impulso Program the title of best practice in Third Sector Compliance and Risk Analysis in the State of Paraná. This award reaffirms our commitment to ethics and transparency.

Best NGOs in Brazil Award 2017, 2018 and 2019
Elected for three consecutive years by Instituto Doar as one of the 100 BEST NGOs TO DONATE in Brazil. O Pequeno Cotolengo do Paraná - Dom Orione, in addition to receiving recognition as one of the 100 best NGOs in Brazil, in 2017, also won in the category Best NGO in the Southern Region of the country.

Transparency Portal Seal 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018
The Compromisso com a Transparência Seal is a certificate awarded to organizations that demonstrate clarity and commitment to accountability through the portal created by the Instituto Comunitário Grande Florianópolis (ICom).

Management and Transparency Seal
The seal is offered by the Instituto Doar to institutions that apply the 44 criteria described in the Third Sector Management and Transparency Standard (Padrão de Gestão e Transparência do Terceiro Setor - PGT) within themes: Cause and performance strategy; Representation and Responsibility; Management and Planning; Financing strategy; and Accountability and Communication.
As a result of the unstable scenario that the country is experiencing, due to the economic and health uncertainties arising from COVID-19, the entity, which basically has financial contributions from government subsidies and donations from individuals and legal entities, suffered a drastic reduction in its revenue for 2020, which directly affects the institution's assistance capacity.

Given this context, and knowing the important work carried out by Pequeno Cotolengo, GRI Club, through its CEO, Gustavo Favaron, announced the partnership, making Pequeno Cotolengo the GRI Club’s Global Charity Partner.
"We will put the beautiful work developed by Pequeno Cotolengo in the showcase of our almost 6,000 members worldwide. With this we hope to mobilize companies and executives in order to contribute with the beautiful work that we had the opportunity to know. It took us a long time to select our Global Charity Partner because we wanted to make sure that this effort by all our members will result in concrete impacts for society."
