Biography

Jose Ruben Velarde is Senior Director and Head of the Latin America division at Jamestown. He oversees all the company’s efforts in the region and is responsible for the Latin America Fund. Mr. Velarde has over 12 years of experience in Real Estate Investments. Prior to joining Jamestown, Mr. Velarde served as head of the peruvian Real Estate Investments team at Credicorp Capital, he has also held positions at Interseguro, Aquario Investment Group and Prudential Real Estate Investors. Mr. Velarde holds a Bachelor’s of degree in Engineering from the University of California Irvine and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
