Overview

On the 13th and 14th of June the fourth edition of the Italia GRI was held. More than 120 leaders of the Real Estate sector gathered to exchange their views on the market, find new business opportunities and identify the next market trends.

The meeting began with a plenary session on ‘Global Investments in Italy’ followed by discussions including, Community living and City shaping, Long term institutional investments, Residential and many more. Discussions were well attended by Italian specialised funds, local developers and international investors.

Mr. Kwan is a Managing Director based in London responsible for new investments for TPGRE in Europe. Prior to joining TPGRE in 2016, Mr. Kwan was a Partner at Grove International Partners (formerly Soros Real Estate Partners). During his time at Grove, he resided and invested in five countries including U.S., Japan, Spain, Germany and Russia completing over USD 5 billion of transactions across seven sectors. Prior to joining Grove in 2003, Mr. Kwan began his career at Lehman Brothers in 2001, where he was an Analyst in the Real Estate Investment Banking and Private Equity Group in New York. Mr. Kwan received his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University.

David Brogi is Generali Real Estate Global Co-Head of Transactions. In his role he is in charge of supporting and coordinating transactions in France, Italy, Iberia, Benelux and Latin America. Generali Real Estate S.p.A. is the global real estate company of Assicurazioni Generali.

In parallel to this he is also the Chief Transaction Officer of the Italian branch Generali Real Estate SGR, where he is responsible for all the acquisitions, disposals and leasing transactions on behalf of the managed property funds and companies.

Prior to joining the Generali Group in 2008 as the Director of Investment & Divestment, David spent five years at AEW Italy as the Head of Investments, working on direct investments in Italy and advisory on third party funds. Before he worked for two years in the asset management team of Archon Group (Goldman Sachs).
