GRI Residential Europe 2018 London, 28 - 29 November

To most, investing in residential feels like a no brainer as a way to diversify risk with countercyclical strategies in the current low yielding environment. The continued rise in urban migration leaves most towns and cities in dire need of new residential stock, and leaves most investors and developers with the perfect chance to capitalise on demand.

However, this demand is still rising and Europe’s residential stock has been completely bottled up. Developers stall, struggling to obtain financing and partner with the right investor, land costs are sky high, few projects realise scale. In addition, a lack of local market insight has global investors clinging onto capital rather than gamble it.

If such sentiments are true, what will it take to uncork supply and who will be the pioneers?

This year’s GRI Residential Europe will gather Private Developers, Global Operators, REITs, Local Authorities, Debt Lenders, Private Equity and Institutional Investors for a series of collegial discussions to understand where the market is going to identify like minded peers in order to build relationships and business deals. These behind closed door discussions will inevitably focus on scale up strategies for multifamily, mid-market and luxury build to rent, JV’s and co-investing, price points, regional hotspots, counter cyclical trends and such others across all European markets.
