Europe GRI is a senior annual get-together of real estate investors, lenders and developers active in Europe. Participants will gather in Paris on 5th and 6th September 2018 for two days of high-level information exchange and networking.

Ten years at Goldman Sachs, primarily in real estate principal investing and portfolio management for the Whitehall Funds in New York, Paris and London. Trish earned a BA degree, summa cum laude, from Boston College. Benson Elliot is a specialist European real estate private equity firm applying decades of investment experience, deep market knowledge and in-house operational expertise to generate sustained investment outperformance.

Biography:
MD, is a member of the RE team at BlackRock. He is responsible for acquisitions, financing and asset and development management for the different real estate opportunities sourced in France and Italy as well as assets already under management for BlackRock. Prior to joining MGPA, Mr. Olgiati worked for Bouygues Construction, a leading construction company in France, where he led a development team focusing on refurbishment of the Greater Paris region. He managed feasibility studies worth more than €1 billion on behalf of opportunistic funds for acquisition with potential redevelopment.During his tenure at Bouygues Construction,he was previously Head of Purchasing,managing a team of 50 people being in charge of a 285 million annual budgets.

Frédéric Bôl is the founder of Swiss Life REIM (France) and Head of RE France - Swiss Life Group. He has 30 years of experience in asset management, banks and insurance companies. He created AF2i (French Association for Institutional investors) in 2004 and participated to the creation of OPCI (French non-listed REIT). Since its creation, Swiss Life REIM (France) is leader on the OPCI market and AIFM approved, offering real estate tailor-made solutions for institutional investors with 3 missions: investment funds, portfolio management & asset management. The Real Estate in France represents more than €7,3 bn as of end of December 2015 through 38 real estate vehicles with multi-sector competences and employs 90 people.

Biography:
David Brush has over 30 years’ experience as a real estate professional. He started his career at Philadelphia National Bank in 1983 and moved to Bankers Trust (now part of Deutsche Bank) as a Vice President in 1987. During his 20-year tenure at Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank Real Estate, Mr. Brush founded the Real Estate Opportunistic investing division, where he was a Global Head and CIO of the business for 13 years. During that time, he supervised the completion of over 150 transactions consisting of real estate acquisitions, equity investments, corporate recapitalisations and distressed loan portfolio acquisitions with an enterprise value in excess of $50,000 million.

From 2006 until 2008 he was Member of the Board of Managing Directors of Commerzbank AG. From November 2008 until August 2009 Knobloch was Member of the Supervisory Board of Hypo Real Estate Holding AG. From 2009 until 2012 Knobloch was Board Member of Josef Schörghuber Foundation. He is Non Executive Director of Palatium Investment Management Ltd. and Deputy Chairman of Citycon and Gem. Hertie Stiftung. He is also Partner at Continuum Capital.

An American national, Troy Javaher was previously the Head of Capital Markets for Central and Eastern Europe for JLL. He has a Masters in Real Estate from Columbia University in New York and has professional work experience in the region since 1998.

Daniel Buaron is Chairman of First Atlantic Real Estate (FARE), re-founded by him in 2014, two years after the sale of FARE Group to the DeAgostini Group. In fact FARE Group was founded by Daniel in 1998 and was the Italian operating partner of Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Funds until 2007. In 2005, he founded FARE SGR which became the leading Italian RE fund management firm after the merger with FIMIT SGR (2011) with over 10 billion of AuM. Prior experiences include being Founder, CEO and Vice Chairman of Tradital S.p.A. and CEO of Metropolis S.p.A.. Mr. Buaron began his career with JP Morgan. He graduated with a business degree from Università Bocconi and received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1976.

Aref Lahham is a Managing Director and founding Principal of Orion. Orion has sponsored five Funds with over €10 billion of total investments. Aref serves on the Funds’ Investment Committee and is Chief Investment Officer setting the strategy and leading the Funds’ acquisition team and activities as well as directing asset management activities on a significant number of Fund investments. Aref has 28 years of real estate investment and development experience in the United States and Europe. He has a BSc in Engineering from Purdue University, Masters of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Biography:

Henri Alster is the Chairman of the GRI. He previously worked for 25 years as a real estate investment banker, advising or partnering with the likes of Exxon, Whitehall, KLM pension funds, Forest City Enterprises and others across the USA and Europe. He also ran his own investment boutique.

Mr. Alster led Citicorp’s early real estate investment banking efforts in Europe between 1988 and 1994, closing Europe’s two largest land deals on behalf of Exxon and Pechiney.

A Columbia B-School MBA (‘74), Henri is an undergraduate Technion (Israel) Industrial Engineer (‘72). 

He is fluent in English, French, German, Dutch and Hebrew, has lived in New York, Paris, London, Brussels and Tel-Aviv and has worked and travelled extensively throughout the Americas, Asia and Europe.
