The UK Investment Cycle

Keep Calm & Don’t Crash!

Rental values,  interest rates, Brexit, affordable housing bubble, Corbyn; is the investment cycle heading for a spectacular crash in 2019 or is the market over panicking?

After all, business is booming in London both centrally and on the fringes, cranes are flying across all cities and new models of office, resi and hospitality are driving growth across all assets.

GRI Club members will gather to discuss where we are in the UK investment cycle and especially reflect on where to find value in the still tightly yielded, ultra low interest rate environment.

Is the risk curve completely flat or does the UK still shine as the top profitable real estate investment destination?

Discussion will touch upon:

  • Economic outlook - is the UK now overpriced for all?
  • Where are we in the cycle?
  • Can the UK still compete on a global scale?
  • Navigating through the macro political climate - Corbyn, Brexit, BoE or something worse?
  • Ultra low interest rates -  now the norm or any way out?
  • Rental values and prices across UK cities - where is best to hedge bets?
  • Opportunistic Investments - Any left?
  • Is absolute performance achievable these days?
