Overview

GRI Europe will host the first Pan - European Advisory board meeting to critically discuss market sentiment and appetite across UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and CEE with invited board members from their respective regions.

This is a chance to take stock of global capital flows, understand the hottest regions for development and assess together where the opportunities lie in the short term. It will also be a unique chance for the advisory board members to set the direction for the GRI club next year with input from the local market.

Biography:

Fulvia is a Senior Director at GRI, with direct responsibility to lead GRI’s activities in Italy, and the GRI Hospitality Club on a Pan-European level. She joined GRI in 2014 to launch the GRI business in Italy while helping to strengthen GRI’s portfolio in Sub Saharan African markets. She has over 18 years of experience in b2b event production and brand marketing. Prior to joining GRI, she was Director at Fiera Milano Media for many years, and brand consultant for Italian start-ups in London. Fulvia is Executive MBA from MIP Politecnico di Milano (2012) and M.Sc. in Business & Corporate Communications, University of Siena, Italy.

Aref Lahham is Founder and Managing Director of Orion. He is located primarily in Orion’s London office and acts as Orion’s Chief Executive Officer, setting the strategy and leading the Orion Fund’s acquisition team. Daniel Buaron is Chairman of First Atlantic Real Estate (FARE), re-founded by him in 2014, two years after the sale of FARE Group to the DeAgostini Group. In fact FARE Group was founded by Daniel in 1998 and was the Italian operating partner of Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Funds until 2007. Daniel Mayans joined FREO Group in 2015 and is responsible for FREO’s Spain operations. He brings over 18 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate and worked previously for GE Capital Real Estate for almost 9 years where he was the Head of Asset Management in Spain and managed a portfolio of €1,2bn. Before GE he worked for Metrovacesa as Portolio Manager where he also managed a portfolio of €500mm. Earlier in his career he worked for Aguirre Newman heading the Office and Retail department. Daniel holds a law degree from the FERT University and a Masters in Executive Management from IESE Business School in Barcelona.

David Brush has over 30 years’ experience as a real estate professional. He started his career at Philadelphia National Bank in 1983 and moved to Bankers Trust (now part of Deutsche Bank) as a Vice President in 1987. During his 20-year tenure at Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank Real Estate, Mr. Brush founded the Real Estate Opportunistic investing division, where he was a Global Head and CIO of the business for 13 years. During that time, he supervised the completion of over 150 transactions consisting of real estate acquisitions, equity investments, corporate recapitalisations and distressed loan portfolio acquisitions with an enterprise value in excess of $50,000 million.

He was CEO of Immobiliare Cascina Rubina owning Sesto Project designed by Renzo Piano for 963.500 sqm and is still CEO of all the subsidiaries of the Group. He sold assets for € 4.0 billion: Paris properties’ portfolio for €1,5 billion, a prestigious building in New York for €0,4 billion and other Italian assets. He is managing the mixed-use Development Project in Milan - 440,000 sqm to be built. Previously, he headed the Real Estate Development by IPI (Fiat Group), being Director of the subsidiaries.
