Offices - What will impact offices’ value in 2020?

January 22nd, 2020
pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank

How to create value in office property when the market is facing many economic and societal challenges?

French speaking discussion.

On the French investment market, office assets remain firmly in the majority. But yields are low especially in the Greater Paris Region and competition from foreign investors is increasing.
Furthermore, the investors are facing societal challenges; digitalisation, new legislation, densification of the urban zone and new generation of workers are bringing new needs in terms of use of the office space and professional/personal life balance.

How will these challenges impact the commercial value of offices? Are there other variables that influence this value? Are Real Estate professionals well prepared to overcome these challenges?

The members of the GRI club and their guests will gather at the start of the year for an exclusive and private round table to debate this subject and try to identify actions that can be launch on short and long term basis.

Among the questions that will be addressed:

  • Offices yields - Is there any more room for investment?
  • Flexible and Home Office - Does less time in the office mean less value for the asset?
  • Mixed-use in cities - Is it a valuable way to make urbanisation comfortable?
  • Digitalisation vs Right to disconnect - Is there a right formula to please everyone?
  • End users - Attracting new talent, ultimate challenge of future investment strategies?
