James R. Worms is Chairman and Chief Executive Office of Paladin Realty Partners, LLC, an SEC- registered investment advisor headquartered in Los Angeles. Prior to forming the firm in 1995, Mr. Worms was a Managing Director of Salomon Brothers, where he co-managed the firm’s worldwide real estate investment banking activities. Before joining Salomon Brothers, Mr. Worms was a principal at Eastdil Realty, and prior to Eastdil, Mr. Worms worked as a CPA at Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Worms graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and from Hastings College of Law with a J.D. degree. He is a licensed attorney.

Alejandro (Alex) is a Managing Director with Paladin Realty Partners, where he oversees the firm’s activities in South and Central America (excluding Brazil). He serves on the firm’s investment committee. Mr. Krell has three decades of management and real estate development experience, including senior executive positions at some of the largest residential development and construction firms in the world. He was previously the Development Director for an Abu Dhabi government-owned company. Mr. Krell also held executive positions with leading US homebuilders more recently as Division President for Pulte Homes.

Andres Alvarado is the Managing Partner charged with leading the real estate group of SURA Asset Management in Colombia. Mr. Alvarado was the founding partner of Abacus Real Estate, one of the early entrants in the market and the first manager to raise a local institutional real estate development fund in Colombia. Mr. Alvarado has over 20 years of experience in real estate and investment banking in Colombia, LatAm and the US. He holds an MA in Social Sciences from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Florida International University.
Mr. Romero is the Head of the Merchant Banking Team in Colombia, and a member of the Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure LatamTeams. Eduardo joined BTG in October 2013. Prior to joining BTG, Eduardo founded North Shore Venture Partners, a venture capital advisory firm and CHG in Chicago, a private equity real estate company focus on value-add commercial transactions in main metropolitan areas in the United States. Prior to CHG, Eduardo was Managing Director for NationsBank, and Bank of America´s country manager for Colombia and Venezuela responsible for corporate finance, investment banking and proprietary investments in the region. Gregorio Schneider is the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of TC Latin America Partners. He has more than 25 years of experience in emerging markets, investing in both the public and private markets through a variety of assets and strategies, including debt, equity, distressed assets and real estate. Prior to forming TC Latin America Partners, Gregorio was Managing Director and Head of Emerging Markets at Och-Ziff Capital Management, Portfolio Manager at The Rohatyn Group (TRG) and worked at Spinnaker Capital. Gregorio is a member of the EMPEA Latin America Council and the LAVCA real estate council. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the ITAM in Mexico City.

Since May 2016, Jean Pierre Serani is the Head of the Investment Banking division of Bancolombia, where he is in charge of the M&A, DCM/ECM, Project, Corporate and Acquisition Finance, Merchant Banking and Special Situations teams. Previously, for three years he was the CEO of Valores Bancolombia, the bank´s brokerage unit and the Head of the Sales & Trading division. Before 2013, he held several positions on the Investment Banking division for more than eight years. Mr. Serani received his undergraduate degree in Business from Universidad EAFIT and his MBA degree from Georgia Institute of Technology as a Fulbright Scholar.

Previously, Joan served as Business Manager at ‘Logispark’, a Banco Sabadell JV with a RE developer, where he managed investments for $400M to develop more than 700.000sqm of CRE in Europe. He started his professional career in 1999 as Construction Manager at Ferrovial.

At Peninsula, Josef is responsible for overseeing investments, portfolio allocation in Mexico, Panama and Colombia, and managing investor relations. Philipp Braunfels is a Director and Investment Manager for the Andean Region at Jamestown, focusing on Latin American investments and asset management out of the local office in Bogotá, Colombia. He has also worked in Jamestown’s German Fund Management department and its US offices in Atlanta and New York. Prior to joining Jamestown Mr. Braunfels worked at Deloitte Consulting in Germany and an early stage venture of Rocket Internet based in Singapore. Mr. Braunfels graduated Cum Laude from Maastricht University with a Master of Science in International Business Finance and also holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business Economics.
Rafael is founder, partner and CEO of QBO Constructores SAS, a company dedicated to real estate development since 2003. He is a Business Administrator from Universidad EAFIT with studies at the London School of Economics. He has held relevant positions in the Colombian financial industry during his time at the Corporación Financiera del Valle (Corfivalle) and in the aviation industry during his 5 years at Avianca where he was Commercial Vice President of the airline for Latin America.

Santiago Porta is the IFC’s Global Sector Leader for Commercial Property. He has over 13 years in banking, leading investments and client relationships with key private sector partners across all property subsectors and emerging markets regions -including Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia. He lives in Washington DC, US, and, before joining IFC, he worked in the structured finance and corporate finance groups at Enron and Price Waterhouse Coopers respectively. Santiago holds an MBA from IESE Business School and an Industrial Engineering Degree at Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.

Focused on bringing new members and relevant companies from the sector, to develop the Club in the Andean countries, and Argentina. Also responsible for the Hospitality sector throughout Latin America, concentrating efforts, for the main meeting of the sector at a regional level.
