Visión General

Miembros de GRI de México y otros países de América Latina se han reunido con inversionistas, desarrolladores, holdings de concesiones y operadores de infraestructura locales e internacionales para discutir temas estratégicos del sector.

El encuentro tuvo lugar los días 12 y 13 de septiembre en el St. Regis Hotel en la Ciudad de México y contó con la participación de ejecutivos como Alex Greenbaum (GIC), Anton Kobzev (OTPP), Andrés Palacios (CDPQ), Demetrio Sodi (Red Carreteras de Occidente), Carlos Redondo (Roadis), Mauricio Barreto (Enel), Juan Ignacio Rubiolo (AES México), Patrick Enriquez (Brookfield Infrastructure), Jorge Araujo (CFE), Eduardo Rodríguez Ampudia (SCT), José Luis Martínez González (SHCP), Eduardo Ramos (CKD IM), Guillermo Fonseca (MIP EXI), Miriam Morenes (Fermaca), Michel Rodríguez (Advance México), Sophie Brossard (BNP Paribas), Dorothée Peuzé (Crédit Agricole), Felipe Vinagre (Credit Suisse), Noé Reza (HSBC), entre otros.

La apertura del encuentro estuvo a cargo de Sergio Forte Gómez (Banobras) quien ha compartido con la audiencia los detalles del hub de proyectos mexicanos y las iniciativas diseñadas para garantizar mayor acceso a las informaciones y así estimular la participación privada en infraestructura.

En continuación, los ejecutivos discutieron separadamente los sectores de transportes y energía, abarcando las particularidades, las oportunidades, los retos y las medidas necesarias para impulsar el desarrollo de los respectivos proyectos.

En la sesión siguiente fue debatido el fondeo de los proyectos de infraestructura y el nivel de los retornos ofrecidos, quedando claro que mientras la cuestión cambiaria ya no crea grandes inquietudes a los inversores, temas como el riesgo inflacionario y los riesgos sociales, prediales y ambientales los ponen en alerta. Otro punto discutido fue la madurez alcanzada con los instrumentos de inversión y cómo continuar evolucionando.

El segundo día comenzó con la participación de Gerardo Salazar Viezca (Grupo Financiero Interacciones) quien ha presentado un amplio panorama de la financiación de los proyectos, evidenciando la relevancia de la participación privada y trayendo una visión más amplia acerca del rol que los privados pueden y deben ejercer en el desarrollo de la infraestructura, especialmentepara reducir el gap de proyectos bancables.

En seguida, el debate fue enfocado en los movimientos de la política mexicana y sus impactos en el desarrollo de la infraestructura, en que prevaleció la preocupación por la continuidad de los proyectos y la necesidad de un plan de estado que se mantenga sólido a través de los ciclos de gobierno. Sin embargo, de manera general las incertidumbres del corto plazo fueron contrastadas por el optimismo largo plazista respecto al futuro del país.

En la ronda final, los ejecutivos analizaron el pipeline de proyectos, recorriendo el atractivo de cada sector, analizando las oportunidades existentes y las perspectivas futuras. También estuvieron en cuestión los riesgos y la viabilidad de adopción de modelos de contratación como APPs y propuestas no solicitadas en cada sector.

Biografia:

Licenciado en Economía por la Universidad Iberoamericana, con Maestría en Economía y Administración, por parte del ITAM y Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad Iberoamericana. Llegó al Grupo Financiero Interacciones en mayo de 2002, en agosto de 2004 fue nombrado Director General de Banco Interacciones, posición que ocupa hasta la fecha, y desde el 30 de abril de 2007 es Consejero Propietario de GFI. Previamente, ocupó las direcciones de Banca Corporativa en Bancomer y BBVA Bancomer, además de experiencias profesionales en Banamex, Banco de México y la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público. Ha sido galardonado con becas de diferentes Consejos y Fundaciones, como Conacyt y Fulbright.

Melissa Dalla Rosa é Diretora de Infraestrutura e atua principalmente na expansão do GRI Club Infra na América Latina. Graduada em Comunicação Social – Relações Públicas pela Unisinos (RS), Pós-graduada Publicidade Institucional, Comunicação Multimídia e Organização de Eventos pela Universidade de Florença – Itália, onde viveu por sete anos, está concluindo um MBA em Gestão do Agronegócio pela ESALQ/USP. Possui mais de 10 anos de experiência na área de relações públicas e eventos.

Mr. Greenbaum joined GIC’s Infrastructure team in 2015. He is responsible for the origination, execution and asset management of GIC’s infrastructure investments in North America. Prior to joining GIC, Alex was an investment banker at UBS advising public and private sector clients on infrastructure mandates, including the structuring of public-private partnerships and the acquisition, sale and financing of infrastructure related companies. Benjamín Torres-Barrón leads Baker McKenzie's Energy, Mining & Infrastructure Practice Group in Mexico.
