Visão geral

Nos dias 15 e 16 de maio, o GRI Club Infra LatAm reuniu cerca de 160 líderes e executivos da Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, França, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Espanha, Suíça, Turquia, Uruguai e EUA na 2ª Edição do encontro anual  Infra Latin America GRI 2017, no hotel Dream Downtown, em Nova Iorque. Problemáticas como gargalos na infraestrutura, soluções para destravar os investimentos nos setores energético, saneamento, dejetos e transporte foram discutidas.

O encontro teve 4 participações especiais de Joaquim Levy (The World Bank Group), Geraldo Alckmin (Governador do Estado de Sao Paulo ), Marc Chandler (Brown Brothers Harriman) and Pedro Taques (Governador do Estado do Mato Grosso, Brasil).

Entre as empresas participantes do encontro estavam ACCIONA, ADP Management, Aeropuerto Argetina 2000, AES Gener, AIMCo., Atlas Renewable Energy, Barclays, CCCC, CDPQ, CIFI, CKD IM, Credit Agricole, Cubico Sustainable Investment, Groupe Egis, Eletrobras, Equity International, Goldman Sachs, CCR, IFC, InfraRed, ISA Group, MIP EXI, MRS, OTPP, ROADIS, Sacyr, TIAA-Cref, UBS, VINCI Concessions, entre outras.

Durante as discussões, diversos temas foram discutidos, focados especialmente nos riscos e gargalos a ser resolvidos para a atração de mais investimos para a infraestrutura dos países latino americanos. Desafios políticos, legais e regulatórios foram os principais tópicos levantados.

Biografia:

Como Diretor-Geral e Diretor Financeiro do Grupo Banco Mundial, Joaquim Levy é responsável pelas estratégias financeira e de gestão de riscos do Grupo Banco Mundial e pelas instituições que formam o Grupo. Isso abrange o desenvolvimento de novos produtos e serviços financeiros inovadores, a supervisão da prestação de informações financeiras, a gestão de riscos e a mobilização de recursos financeiros em linha com a estratégia do Grupo.

Joaquim Levy contribui para o diálogo internacional sobre normas e melhores práticas financeiras, sobretudo ao representar o Grupo no Conselho de Estabilidade Financeira.

Ingressou no Grupo Banco Mundial em fevereiro de 2016. Antes, foi Ministro da Fazenda da República Federativa do Brasil, tendo trabalhado com a presidente e o governo na reforma da quinta maior economia do mundo.

De 2010 a 2014, foi Diretor Superintendente da Bradesco Asset Management S.A. Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários, braço do Banco Bradesco S.A., o segundo maior grupo bancário privado do Brasil, administrando uma carteira superior a US$ 130 bilhões.

Em 2007, foi nomeado Secretário da Fazenda do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, onde conseguiu reestruturar o aparato de gestão financeira de cima a baixo, o que levou esse estado a receber a classificação de crédito de grau de investimento da Standard & Poor’s.

Em 2006, foi Vice-Presidente de Finanças e Administração do Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento. No Brasil, foi designado Secretário do Tesouro Nacional em 2003. Antes, em 2001, fora nomeado Economista-Chefe do Ministério do Planejamento, Orçamento e Gestão e, em 2000, assumira o cargo de Secretário-Adjunto de Política Econômica do Ministério da Fazenda.

Fez parte do Conselho do Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social.

Antes de trabalhar como economista visitante no Banco Central Europeu, de 1999 a 2000, integrou o quadro do Fundo Monetário Internacional, onde ocupou vários cargos de 1992 a 1999.

É doutor em Economia pela Universidade de Chicago (1992), mestre em Economia pela Fundação Getúlio Vargas (1987) e graduado em Engenharia Naval pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

Biografia:

Marc Chandler se juntou a Brown Brothers Harriman em outubro de 2005 como Global Head of Currency Strategy. Anteriormente, foi o Chief Currency Strategist do HSBC Bank USA e Mellon Bank.

Um prolífico escritor e palestrante, os artigos de Chandler foram publicados no Financial Times, Barron's, Euromoney, Corporate Finance e Foreign Affairs.

Marc é mestre em História Americana pela Northern Illinois University e possui mestrado em Economia Política Internacional pela Universidade de Pittsburgh. Ele leciona Economia Política Internacional na Universidade de Nova York desde o início dos anos 90.

Em 2009, seu primeiro livro, Making Sense of the Dollar, foi publicado pela Bloomberg Press.

Biography:

Geraldo Alckmin, é um politico brasileiro, reeleito governador do estado de São Paulo em 2014, pela quarta vez não consecutiva, tendo concorrido em 2006 às eleições presidenciais. Formado em medicina e ciências médicas pela Universidade de Taubaté, com especialização em Anestesiologia, tendo trabalhado na rede publica de hospitais do estado de São Paulo. Desde de 2011 tem exercido o cargo de Governador de São Paulo.

O Infra Latin America GRI não é uma conferência tradicional com palestras e apresentações. Trata-se de um encontro diferenciado para um público único: decisores do setor de infraestrutura.

O modelo é baseado em diálogos e grupos de discussões informais e simultâneas, dos quais todos participam, priorizando os temas mais relevantes para o seu negócio. Tendo em vista o nível dos participantes, a troca de ideias se mostra muito proveitosa.

Biography:
Andre Clark graduated in Chemical Engineering at University of Sao Paulo and has an Operations Management and Finance MBA from Stern School of Business - New York University. Between 1999 and 2007 leaded the pulp and paper area in Votorantim Group and from 2007 to 2009 worked whit Operations, Base Industry and Natural Resources in Booz Allen Hamilton. In the construction area, worked for 8 years in Camargo Corrêa, were responded for International Operations and New Businesses Development. As ACCIONA’S country director in Brazil, is responsible to promote and integrate de corporate development, creating conditions for the evolution of new markets and services, as well as contributes to the company’s results and management in the country.

Biography:
Focused in origination, structuring and management of debt and equity investments since 2006, Andres is currently based in Mexico City, where he moved from Washington DC in November 2014 and from where he now leads IFC’s infrastructure business origination in Mexico and Central America. He has more than 12 years of emerging market investment experience, including 10 years in the energy sector with IFC globally. His responsibilities currently also include originating and structuring equity transactions comprising co- investment opportunities in Mexico for the US$1.2 billion China-Mexico Fund managed by IFC’s Asset Management Company. He received an MBA from the IESE Business School (Barcelona, Spain) in 2006.

Bernardo Serafim is Development Director of VINCI Concessions for Latin America and Executive Director of Vinci Highways.
