Opportunity Zones (QOZs) were designed to bring in investment and spur economic growth in distressed communities. But since their creation, there are still many gaps to fill in terms of how they work and how real estate investors can participate. This eMeeting will gather US developers, investors and QOZ experts to discuss the misconceptions, opportunities and challenges real estate players are facing to engage in this program.

Topics
Discussion will touch on
  • Mapping the QOZs: Which zones to bet on and what are the challenges?
  • Areas of Opportunity in Framework: How could this program be improved to further incentivize and attract investment into these distressed communities?
  • Success Stories: What projects have already been developed in QOZs and what were the lessons learned?
  • Asset Classes: Which are the most attractive for investment and why?
