For domestic and international investors trying to find decent yields in the Spanish real estate market, financing transactions has become increasingly more difficult post-COVID, as many senior debt lenders adopt more conservative approaches. While alternative lenders push up debt prices and inbound institutional capital starts to thin, how can investors and developers attract financing, and how might lenders remain competitive in a post COVID recessionary world of propped up rates?

This eMeeting will have a closer look at lenders’ financing appetite in terms of risk and asset classes for the Spanish real estate by drawing comparisons to the GFC in order to map out short, medium and long term lending behaviour.
