With the demand and supply spread steadily increasing for urban housing across the Netherlands, COVID might have just created a turning point for the dutch residential real estate markets. Transactions continued as opposed to many other regions and asset classes, creating a wave of product coming into the sector. But with increased governmental restrictions, land scarcity and higher prices as well as the push towards smaller rental assets, will urban city centres need to adjust and adapt to the new demand?

This eMeeting will have a closer look at the Dutch Residential real estate markets to understand how urban developments will potentially need to adjust to cater to changing demand drivers, urbanisation, while creating decent returns and staying relevant.

Discussion will touch on
  • Investment Appetite - Where are debt & equity headed?
  • Accelerated Trends - Are alternative BTR models gaining traction?
  • Urban City Centres - Increased push towards BTR & affordability?
  • Operational Resi RE - Unlocking new urban living opportunities
  • Amsterdam & MRDH - Any other emerging hotspots through increased spatial constraints?
  • Governmental Regulations - Impacts of PAS on the residential markets & what might follow
