On the one hand, the Latin American Governments are committed to carrying out a substantial amount of infrastructure projects in the short and medium term, even confident in making the sector a driver of the economic recovery in the region.

On the other hand, a severe monetary crisis and a drastic reduction in global liquidity, Development Banks are extremely in demand by various sectors in the economies, unable to fully meet the demands for infrastructure financing, wary investors and a growing apprehension of the sector's operators on financing projects.

Foreign capital, although seen as a viable and promising solution, still presents critical issues such as global projects competition and currency risks to be equalized. However, financing initiatives by international governments can bring much needed support.

In this eMeeting we will analyze what are some of the available credit lines for Latin American infrastructure projects, how they can develop in those countries, access conditions and requirements, financing model, among other fundamental issues to make it possible to raise these funds.
