China played a key role in supporting Latin America to recover after the 2008-2009 global financial crisis.. Will that be the case again after the coronavirus crisis? Many say China will be far from irrelevant in this process, and many analysts expect a fast recovery for the Asian country. But it's still uncertain whether China will emerge as capable of helping and investing as it did in the past.

During this GRI eMeeting, GRI members from Spanish speaking countries and Chinese players will meet to discuss what is clear: Latin American countries have solid projects in the pipeline in sectors ranging from transport, mobility, energy, and social infrastructure that could fit into what is usually of interest of Chinese companies.

Has the coronavirus pandemic changed China's priorities in the region?
