Biography:
Bronwyn is the CEO of Mara Delta Property Holdings. She has significant corporate finance and deal making experience. She played an instrumental role in the JSE listing of Delta Property Fund Limited in 2012 prior to taking up the leadership role at Mara Delta. During her tenure at Delta Limited, she spearheaded the diversification of the REIT’s funding sources into the debt capital markets. Bronwyn is a founder member and served as non-exec director on the board of Delta International Property Fund Limited where she played a significant role in the listing and conversion of the Fund to its current pan-African focus. She has grown the fund from $220 million to $463 million in under 2 years.

Biography:
Godfrey Tapela is a Senior Investment Officer at IFC based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is responsible for investments in the commercial property including affordable housing, retail and tourism sectors in Sub-Saharan Africa. Godfrey joined IFC in 2001 and previously worked for ABSA Bank, Eskom as a Projects Engineer and for DLV Consulting Engineers and Stewart Scott Consulting Engineers as a Consulting Engineer. He holds a Master in Business Leadership from UNISA, a BSc Electrical Engineering(Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe, a Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Management and is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.

Mr. Banerjee joined TATA Housing Development Company Limited in 2006 as Deputy CEO. In 2008 he was appointed as MD & CEO of the company. During his tenure, Mr. Banerjee has revolutionized the face of the RE sector by pioneering the innovative concept of low-cost housing under the Shubh Griha brand. Apart from this, TATA Housing also pioneered Sustainable Integrated Green Township Development. Mr. Banerjee began his career with TATA Group at TATA Chemicals. As Product Manager, . When the TATA Group acquired strategic stake in Barista Coffee Company Ltd., Mr. Banerjee was deputed to the company in the role of Vice President – Marketing, Strategy & Corporate Communications. He was subsequently promoted to the role of COO.

Biography:

Ilaria Benucci joined AIG Global Real Estate (‘AIG GRE') in 2006 and is responsible for the development of new business across Europe. Prior to joining AIG GRE, Ms Benucci served as Director of the Property Team for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ("EBRD") where she was responsible for originating and executing equity and debt transactions in the office, retail, logistic and residential sectors. Russia was a primary area of focus for Ms Benucci during her 11 years at EBRD. Previously she worked in Corporate Finance with Citibank and UBS.

Biography:
Peter has been in investments for 24 years containing SA and International experience. Of these 17 years is with Old Mutual in South Africa and 5 years with Goldman Sachs investment banking in London. During his time at Old Mutual, Peter has had the roles of Head of Old Mutual’s Corporate Finance division, COO of the Old Mutual Investment Group and currently MD of Old Mutual Property since 2011. Peter has been a director of Old Mutual Property since 2000 and joined the property investment committee in 2004. Peter is responsible for the property investment & business strategy, with property assets of R18bn. He also participates in the investment strategy & is involved in selected investment committees with the Old Mutual Investment Group.

In 2007 Michael formed Westport Property Holdings, a property development management company for retail and mixed-use projects in Nigeria and other African countries. Prior to this, he co-founded and served as Managing Director of Profund Properties – a property development and facilities management company in Nigeria operating in the residential, retail, office and hotel sectors. Michael is a qualified architect and was for some years Managing Director of Stauch Vorster Architects – one of the largest architectural firms in Africa. Michael spent the past 20 years working on retail and mixed-use project in 12 African countries.

Deon serves on a number of boards including Forum Property Africa and JHI DRC. Deon has been involved in large scale real estate developments on the African continent and worked for companies such as Novare Private Equity and Shoprite Checkers
