Biography:

Henri Alster is the Chairman of the GRI. He previously worked for 25 years as a real estate investment banker, advising or partnering with the likes of Exxon, Whitehall, KLM pension funds, Forest City Enterprises and others across the USA and Europe. He also ran his own investment boutique.

Mr. Alster led Citicorp’s early real estate investment banking efforts in Europe between 1988 and 1994, closing Europe’s two largest land deals on behalf of Exxon and Pechiney.

A Columbia B-School MBA (‘74), Henri is an undergraduate Technion (Israel) Industrial Engineer (‘72). 

He is fluent in English, French, German, Dutch and Hebrew, has lived in New York, Paris, London, Brussels and Tel-Aviv and has worked and travelled extensively throughout the Americas, Asia and Europe.

Peter is a co-founder of Arminius. Hunt is a Managing Director in Baupost’s Private Investment Group and is based in London.  He focuses on European real estate investments and is also responsible for new joint venture partner and real estate operating partner relationships. Prior to joining Baupost, Hunt was a Managing Director at Northwood Investors. Trish has over 20 years industry experience. Co-founded Benson Elliot with Marc Mogull in 2006. Ten years at Goldman Sachs, primarily in real estate principal investing and portfolio management for the Whitehall Funds in New York, Paris and London. Rob Harper is a Senior Managing Director and the Head of Europe for Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies. Since joining Blackstone in 2002, Mr. Harper has been involved in analyzing Blackstone’s real estate equity and debt investments in all property types. His current responsibilities include overseeing the investment activities and growth of Blackstone’s real estate debt business in Europe. Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies originates and acquires real estate debt across all property types. Mr. Harper is based in London and has previously worked for Blackstone in both New York and Los Angeles. Mr. Harper received a B.S. from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
